Experts in industry and research alike were able to discuss and exchange ideas in the fields of sustainable transportation systems, electric vehicles, hybrid electric vehicles, plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, as well as air, sea and undersea vehicles.

Participants attended five keynote sessions, thirty technical sessions, two poster presentation sessions, and eleven panel discussions. Papers and presentations featured at the conference included work from 800 authors/co-authors and 21 countries with many papers from industry.

Students, under the direction of Dr. Khaligh, presented papers on integrated AC-DC and DC-DC converters for plug-in hybrid electric cars.

VPPC 2011 was co-sponsored by IEEE Vehicular Technology Society and IEEE Power Electronics Society, for more information, visit http://vppc2011.com/.
