Rankings

The Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of Maryland ranks well among its peer institutions.

US NewsIn the 2014 U.S. News and World Report Best Engineering Graduate Schools ranked our graduate programs within the top 20 engineering programs in the nation. Our electrical engineering program tied for 14th falling between the University of California, San Diego and the University of Southern California. After a four-way tie at 5th and a 2-way tie at 12, our computer engineering program ranked at 15th in the country.

Overall, The A. James Clark School of Engineering ranked 19th among the top engineering graduate schools in the nation.
