Assistant Professor Nuno Martins (ECE/ISR) has won the 2010 George Axelby Outstanding Paper Award from the IEEE Control Systems Society. Nuno shares this award with Munther Dahleh of MIT for their jointly authored paper, "Feedback Control in the Presence of Noisy Channels: Bode-Like Fundamental Limitations of Performance."

This prestigious award is given annually to the outstanding paper published in IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control. The award was presented at the 49th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control in December.
