The Electrical and Computer Engineering Graduate Student Association (ECEGSA) held its student speaker awards ceremony on Tuesday, May 8, 2007. ECE Department Chair Dr. Patrick O’Shea and Prof. K. J. Ray Liu, and Director of Graduate, Academic, and Student affairs gave awards to student speakers.

The following students were recognized for their participation on ECEGSA seminar series: Nima Ghalichechian, Shan He, Sameer Hemmady, Vishal Kandelwal, Peng Qiu, Ahmed Sadek, Gelareh Taban, Pavan Turaga, and Yanyi (Eric) Liu Wong.

The best student speaker for each semester was chosen based on the audience feedback and their scores on the evaluation sheets provided to them. Mr. Nima Ghalichechian was awarded the best student speaker for the Fall 2006 semester, while Ms. Shan He won the award for the Spring 2007 semester.
