India Tiller

The University of Maryland's Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) is currently collecting funds to establish a new campus memorial for India Tiller, a staff member in the ECE Undergraduate Studies office, who passed away unexpectedly last year on February 24. She was 49.

India had a strong interest in nature and efforts to preserve and improve our environment.  As a fitting tribute to her memory, the ECE Department is collecting contributions for a tree to be planted in the new Garden of Reflection and Remembrance, which will be constructed near Memorial Chapel this spring. Information about the Garden can be found at the link below:

To date, the ECE Department has collected $1,250 for India’s memorial, a quarter of the way to the goal of $5,000.

If you would like to contribute to the fund, please contact Executive Director of Operations Teresa Moore at temoore@umd.edu.
