Alireza Khaligh wins Clark School's junior faculty teaching award

Associate Professor Alireza Khaligh (ECE/ISR) is the 2016 recipient of the A. James Clark School of Engineering’s Robert E. Kent Teaching Award for Junior Faculty.

He joins Associate Professor Pamela Abshire (ECE/ISR) and Professor Min Wu (ECE/UMIACS) as ECE faculty members who have won this award since its inception in 1986.

The Clark School gives this award to a junior faculty member for excellence in teaching. Khaligh was recognized for his dedication to excellence in power engineering education, teaching, mentorship, service, and leadership. He will be presented with the award at the college’s winter commencement in December.

Khaligh also won the Clark School’s Junior Faculty Outstanding Research Award this year.
