On November 3, 2010, the Electrical and Computer Engineering Undergraduate Student Council (ECE USC) hosted the fourth annual ECE Casino Night in the rotunda of the Jeong H. Kim Engineering Building. Two hundred students from the A. James Clark School of Engineering “hit the jackpot” with a night full of networking, games, dinner, and prizes.

Students were invited to attend the event to network with representatives from sponsor companies and socialize with fellow students. Students dressed their best and dropped by employer tables to submit their resumes and talk about job and internship opportunities. Representatives from Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, the National Security Agency, and MicroStrategy came to join in the fun and meet students.

Ante-Up Entertainment provided professional gaming equipment and dealers. The rotunda was lined with tables for blackjack, poker, and roulette and filled with the sound of poker chips clicking and jazz music from the building PA system. Noodles & Company catered a pasta dinner.

The Undergraduate Student Council provided door prizes and raffled them off to the attendees. The sponsoring companies also contributed prizes, including an iPod Nano from MicroStrategy. Dell contributed a printer as one of the grand prizes, and ECE USC contributed several additional prizes including a bluetooth headset and an iPod docking station.

All proceeds went to the ECE USC to fund the improvement of the student lounge area.
