Alumna Namrata Vaswani Joins Iowa State’s ECE Faculty

ECE alumna Namrata Vaswani has accepted a position as assistant professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at Iowa State University.

Namrata completed her Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park in August 2004. Her Ph.D. advisor was Professor Rama Chellappa (ECE/UMIACS). Her primary research interests are in estimation and detection problems in statistical signal processing, biomedical image processing and computer vision. Before joining the Iowa State ECE faculty, Namrata served as postdoctoral fellow at Georgia Tech’s School of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
