Announcements for ENEE312H Spring
2002
10Apr02: Read sections 6.1 through 6.5 from Chapter 6 of Sedra and Smith.
21Mar02: Read sections 3.1-2, 3.4-5,
and 3.7-8 of Sedra and Smith. Please turn in Homework #3 by tomorrow (Friday
Feb 22) if you want me to return it on Tuesday; otherwise you may also turn
it in on Monday.
19Feb02: Quiz #1 is next Thursday, Feb 28. Homework #4 will be handed out on
Thursday of this week but is not due until Thursday, Mar 7. You may bring a
single sheet of paper (single-sided, no larger than 8.5" by 11") with
notes to the quiz; calculators will be allowed but you may not use any programmed
functions other than standard scientific functions (i.e., ln, log, exp). On
Tuesday, Mar 5, I will review material for the quiz during the discussion time
at 8am. All ENEE312H students are encouraged to apply for the MERIT
program to participate in summer research; the application deadline is March
1, 2002.
12Feb02: As you work on Homework #2, you may want to refer to the handout for
12Feb02, and the Einstein relation, which states that the diffusion coefficient
D is the product of the thermal voltage kT/q and the mobility.
31Jan02: The discussion remains at the original time, 8am Tuesday. On 05Feb02
Makesh will be available to answer questions regarding course material or the
homework. Hard copies of the e-text are now available outside 2211 AVW (thanks
to Makesh!).
29Jan02: Send email to
pabshire@glue.umd.edu with your class schedule by tomorrow (30Jan) if you
want to try and change the discussion time.
