
Problems of Information Transmission (English for "Problemy Peredachi
Informatsii") is an international journal published by the Russian Academy
of Sciences. The scope of the journal is roughly the same as of
IEEE Transactions on Information Theory, with emphasis on the
mathemetical aspects.
Vol. 1 (1965)-- present date (one volume, 4 issues, is published each year)
A cover-to-cover English translation of the journal (ISSN: 0032-9460) was published by Plenum Publishers prior to 1999. In 1999 Plenum was acquired by
Kluwer Academic Publishers
which took over the publication.
