VLSI Design Automation Lab

The Department of Electrical Engineering
The University of Maryland, College Park

Purpose

The VLSI Design Automation Laboratory serves as a facility for the design, prototyping, and testing of cutting-edge electronic systems, exploiting state-of-the-art CAD tools and testing equipment. Prototype systems are built at the chip, board, and system levels. New design concepts and methodologies for highly integrated systems are also developed. New CAD tool development as well as tool integration are concurrently carried out to create better design, prototyping, and testing environments for VLSI systems of higher performance and lower power consumption.
