KEY/CARD KEY REQUESTS

Facilities Access Policy
  1. All keys require a $10.00 deposit. Refunds can only be given to the original key applicant. Refunds will only be made within 2 weeks of termination. Checks made payable to the University of Maryland.
  2. You will be responsible for the prompt return of the key(s) to the ECE Tech Ops Unit in room 1350 AVW.
  3. Upon leaving the room, you will remove all personal belongings and will leave the area in a reasonable condition suitable for the next occupant. Failure to do so will result in loss of deposit.
  4. Usage of all rooms are subject to all University policies. Transference of keys or possession of transferred keys is prohibited by state law through Article 27, Section 336B of the Annotated Code of Maryland which reads in part it is unlawful to use distribute, manufacture, duplicate or possess keys capable of being used in locks in or on property owned or leased by the State, unless authorized to do so. This applies to any University key marked U of M, Unlawful to Duplicate or Do Not Duplicate.
  5. You may be required to take the University Lab Safety Training prior to gaining access to certain labs.
  6. Please report lost keys to the ECE Tech Ops Unit in writing for cancellation. The cost of a replacement key is $10.00
