Geunmin Ryu completed his Ph.D.
degree in Electrical Engineering in Fall 2011. He joined Intel Corporation as
an integration engineer. · Geunmin Ryu has been awarded 2011~2012 Ann G. Wylie Dissertation Fellowships. The Ann G. Wylie Dissertation Fellowship includes a
$10,000 stipend and tuition remission for one semester. Only a small number
of students are selected each year to receive the fellowship based on a
rigorous, university-wide nomination and selection process. Details on the award can
be found here. · Athanasios Chryssis completed his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering in Fall 2010. He joined Coherent, Inc as a Sr. development engineer.
· Geunmin Ryu has been selected to receive Graduate Student Summer Research Fellowships for Summer 2010. Details on the award can be found here.
· Athanasios Chryssis was named one of five ECE Ph.D Distinguised Dissertation Fellows. The fellowships are awarded to outstanding students in the final stages of dissertation work in recognition of their research excellence. Details on the the award can be found here.
· Geunmin Ryu has been selected to participate in the Clark School's Future Faculty Program (FFP). FFP was introduced to increase the number of Clark School Ph.D. graduates who obtain academic positions, and in particular, faculty positions in prestigious engineering schools. The program is also intended to improve the preparation of students for academic careers so that they can better succeed once they obtain such a position. Details on the award can be found here.
· Professor Mario Dagenais has been elected as a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the world’s leading professional association for the advancement technology.
