Edward Ott Wins Clark School Outstanding Faculty Research Award

ECE Professor Edward Ott was awarded the A. James Clark School Outstanding Faculty Research Award at a faculty celebration dinner on September 15, 2005.

The award was given to Dr. Ott in recognition of his advancements in estimating the current state of the atmosphere and for his many contributions in developing the broad area of chaos and nonlinear dynamics. The award consists of a plaque, a cash award in the amount of $2,000, and a research augmentation award worth $5,000 per year for three years.

The Clark School Outstanding Faculty Research Award was instituted to recognize exceptionally influential research accomplishments by faculty in the Clark School. Last year's winner was Professor Thomas Antonsen who was Ott's Ph.D. student when they were both at Cornell University.
