Tenth ECE Career Fair Attracts 48 Employers, More Than 600 Students

The 10th annual Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Career Fair attracted 48 employers and more than 600 students on February 7, 2014 in the Jeong H. Kim Engineering Building. Career fair booths were stationed on the first and second floors of the Kim Building to accommodate the number of employers interested in hiring ECE students.

The career fair included the following employers:

Fox and Associates, Epic, Ericsson, Exponent, Fourth Dimension Engineering, LLC., Global Wireless Solutions, Inc., Goldman Sachs, Hughes, ID.me, Inc., International Software Systems, Inc., Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, Key Tech, L3, Leidos, LGS, M.C. Dean, Microstrategy, Motorola Solutions, National Security Agency, Naval Research Laboratory, Northrop Grumman, Para Bellum Data – RNC, PCTEST, Saleswarp, Solers, Sterne Kessler Goldstein Fox, Symantec, Tata Consultancy Services, Teleworld Solutions, Teleworx, Tenable Network Security, Texas Instruments, SI, 3Phoenix, ViaSat and Virtustream, Inc.

The participating employers offered opportunities for internships and co-ops, as well as full-time positions. The department invited all ECE, Telecommunications, and Computer Science undergraduate, graduate and post-doctoral students to attend. Snacks and beverages were offered in the student lounge all day. Lunch for employers and volunteers was provided by a College Park restaurant, Big Play, co-owned by ECE alumnus, Andre Hopson (EE ’04).

The ECE Career Fair’s sponsors were the Engineering Co-op & Career Services Office, the ECE Graduate Student Association, the ECE Undergraduate Student Council, and Eta Kappa Nu.
