UMERC and the Earth System Science Interdisciplinary Center (ESSIC) are co-hosting the Food-Energy-Water Nexus Workshop on October 27th & 28th, at the World Bank (1818 H St. NW, Washington D.C.)

Join us at this workshop to exchange conceptual approaches and develop analytical tools to address problems that arise at the nexus of food, energy, and water. This workshop will bring together the:

  • Development Community, who focus on means to satisfy human needs;
  • Security Community, who focus on preventing and resolving geopolitical conflicts; and
  • Sustainability Community, who focus on the ability to meet these needs inter-generationally and include environmental, financial, institutional and other considerations.

This interdisciplinary group will work together to build analytic quantitative approaches that address the complex interactions among water, energy and food.
