Welcome to our class web site!  ENEE 473, Electrical Machines Laboratory

One week after performing an experiment, your report will be due.  Bring the report with you to the laboratory.  The first two sessions (from 1 PM to 5 PM,) will be utilized to cover background material in the area of sinusoidal steady state analysis of power systems, both single-phase and three-phase.  In these two sessions use of wattmeters, voltmeters and ammeters will be covered.   We shall also cover safety procedures to be followed when using laboratory equipment to perform the experiments.

It would be a good idea at this time to review the concepts of phasors and the Fourier Transform as they apply to sinusoidal steady state analysis.  Such material is usually contained in textbooks used in elementary circuit theory (such as ENEE 204.)
