Research:

ECE faculty research is supported by annual expenditures of over $40 million. Led by over 85 full-time, affiliate, and emeritus faculty members and many more research staff, the research programs of the department cover a wide spectrum of activities in the two broad areas of (i) Information Sciences and Systems which consists of Communications and Signal Processing, Computer Engineering, and Controls; and (ii) Electronic Sciences and Devices, which consists of Electrophysics and Microelectronics.
