Khaligh wins Best Vehicular Electronics Paper Award two years running

A paper by Assistant Professor Alireza Khaligh (ECE/ISR) published in IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology received the Best Vehicular Electronics Paper Award from the IEEE Vehicular Technology Society.

"Battery, Ultracapacitor, Fuel Cell and Hybrid Energy Storage Systems for Electric, Hybrid Electric, Fuel Cell and Plug–In Hybrid Electric Vehicles" was co-written by Khaligh and his former student at the Illinois Institute of Technology, Li Zhihao. The article appeared in the journal’s July 2010 issue. Zhihao is now an electrical engineer at the GE Global Research Center.

The Best Vehicular Electronics Paper Award is given annually to the best transaction paper on the topic of vehicular electronics. This is the second year in a row that Khaligh has won the award. The award was presented at the VTC-Fall 2013 Conference in Las Vegas.
