The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has named alumnus Giovanni Coratolo (B.S. ’71, EE) Vice President of Small Business Policy. A former business owner and executive director of the Chamber’s small and mid-market business councils, Coratolo will provide strategic leadership on policy and advocacy efforts related to the small businesses that make up 96% of the Chamber’s membership.

Coratolo will also continue to oversee the Chamber’s growing Council on Small Business and Corporate Leadership Advisory Council. These two councils provide important platforms for the Chamber’s small and mid-market business members to become fully engaged in public policy and advocacy.

Prior to joining the Chamber in 1998, Coratolo initiated a variety of small business enterprises including restaurants, consulting services, and a land development company. He graduated from the University of Maryland with a bachelor of science in electrical engineering in 1971, and has attended the University of Baltimore Law School and George Washington University School of Business.
