Liu Invited to Speak as Distinguished Lecturer at Rutgers

Professor K.J. Ray Liu (ECE/ISR) has been invited as a guest speaker for the Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Department’s Distinguished Lecture Series at Rutgers University. Dr. Liu will present his lecture entitled “Can Signal Processing Predict Cancer at Genomic Level?” on October 7, 2005. In his presentation, Dr. Liu will examine the possibilities of detecting different DNA gene cluster patterns in samples from cancer patients and normal subjects to predict the early stage of cancer development.

The ECE Department’s Distinguished Lecture Series at Rutgers seeks to expose students and faculty to areas that are at the forefront of technology and research in a variety of key disciplines within electrical and computer engineering.
