  • The 5th Pacific Rim Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics (CLEO/PR 2003) will be held July 22 - 26, 2003 in Taipei, Taiwan. This conference includes a session on "Optical MEMS".   • The PTAP Optical Microresonators Workshop will be held at the Sheraton Suites San Diego on Tuesday, July 15, 2003. PTAP, the Photonics Technology Access Program, is an NSF and DARPA sponsored effort that provides academic researchers with state-of-the-art, pre-commercial photonic devices for research and teaching.

  • MEMS 2003 one of the most authoritative meetings focused on interdisciplinary research topics on micro electro mechanical devices and systems fabricated on the micrometer to millimeter scale. The MEMS 2003 conference was held January 19 - 23 2003, at Kyoto international Conference Hall, which is located in Kyoto, Japan.

  • AVS 49th Annual Symposium This annual symposium, held on November 3 - 8. 2002, offered an extensive agenda of technical symposia, topical conferences, special sessions, and short courses. MEMS at the AVS conference this year had a strong emphasis on topics that include materials characterization, fabrication techniques, integration strategies, and other processing related areas that have become less emphasized at traditional MEMS conferences but nonetheless are of vital importance to the field.
