Aldert van der Ziel award
The award is established in honor of Professor Aldert van der Ziel for his long and distinguished career as an educator and research scientist. Past recipients include Arthur Milnes, Lester Eastman, Herbert Kroemer (Nobel Laureate Physics 2000), and Michael Shur.

Cover Letter Specs
The cover letter must include:

  1. Title of presentation
  2. Names, complete mailing address and affiliations of the authors
  3. Name, phone number, fax number, e-mail address of the speaker
  4. Suggested area for submitted abstract
  5. Preference for oral or poster presentation
  6. Student paper notice

Abstract Specifications
The camera ready extended abstract should be typewritten on one side of each page only. Please follow the example below as closely as possible. Limit: four pages of single spaced text, figures, and references (IEEE Trans. Format).

Notification
Authors of accepted papers will be notified by September 28, 2001. If selected your abstract will be included in the Proceedings. Full versions of papers will be submitted upon arrival at the Symposium to be considered for publication in the special ISDRS '01 Issue of Solid State Electronics.
